Parc Jean-Drapeau is a great way to escape the busy city of Montreal all year round. Just minutes east from downtown Montreal, Parc Jean-Drapeau spans over two Islands surrounded by the St Lawrence River, Saint Helen’s Island and Notre Dame Island. It offers a vast variety of recreational activities and 25km of trails including artwork-lined hiking trails, skiing trails, bike baths and athletic grounds. The islands offer breathtaking landscapes and stunning views of the Montreal skyline. Parc Jean-Drapeau hosted the Expo 67 and the 1976 Summer Olympics and is now named after Montreal’s past major of 30 years. It is home to La Ronde amusement park, the Montreal Casino, the Montreal Biosphere, Jean-Doré Beach and numerous other activities and events. Individuals of all ages will enjoy this escape filled with nature, recreation and culture.

Please note that certain attractions as well as the general public parking on the island and the river shuttle service are currently closed to comply with COVID-19 directives.

 Parc Jean-Drapeau can be accessed via:

  • Metro: Jean-Drapeau station on the island
  • Taxibus service
  • STM shuttle to various attractions from the Jean-Drapeau metro station
  • River shuttle from Jacques-Cartier pier or Longueuil
  • Bike or BIXI from Lachine Canal bike bath or Jacques-Cartier Bridge
  • Car via Jacques-Cartier Bridge or Concorde Bridge
