Forillon Park, Naturally Vibrant.
The park includes forests, sea coast, salt marshes, sand dunes, cliffs, and the Eastern End of the Appalachians. The word forillon is thought to have referred to a flowerpot island or sea stack which used to be a landmark in the area but has since collapsed into the ocean.
Summer’s the season that really shines in Forillon. The coastal scenery is at its finest, wildflowers bloom almost frantically, beaches are easily accessible, and trails are at their peak of natural beauty.
Watching a blue whale, the largest animal on the planet, and swim in the area’s warmest water on the same day.
Hiking along the shores, towards the lakes or upon the cliffs.
Hearing the stories of this good ol' cod fisher at the general store or signing with the Blanchettes.
Diving in the underwater world or catching a lunch at the tip of the dock.
Forillon is naturally vibrant.
